Maintaining your Tuttnauer sterilizer is essential for ensuring its effectiveness and extending its lifespan. Follow our guide below. This is for E and M machines ONLY
1. Prepare the Sterilizer
- Open the unit and remove all trays
- Ensure there's enough water in the reservoir by checking the dipstick or confirming the water level is half an inch below the safety valve
2. Add Chamber Brite
- With the chamber empty, open a pack of Chamber Brite and pour it in a straight line down the center of the chamber, from the back to the front
3. Run a Cleaning Cycle
For E Machines
- Close the door and set and unwrapped cycle with NO drying time
- ENSURE THE DRYING TIME IS SET TO 0
- Press the start button to begin the cleaning process
- Allow the cycle to complete
for M Machines
- Leave the door open and fill the chamber with water up to the groove as you would for a normal cycle
- Switch the multivalve to STE and close the door
- Set the time for 25 minutes
- Once the timer sounds, switch the multivalve to DRY/EXT and allow the chamber to depressurize
- Switch the multivalve to 0
4. Drain the Reservoir
- Once the cleaning cycle is complete, use the drain valve and a hose to empty the reservoir and remove the cleaning solution
5. Rinse and Reassemble
- Refill the reservoir with distilled water and run another unwrapped cycle to rinse the chamber thoroughly
- Drain the reservoir and wipe the chamber and water sensor
- Reinsert the tray racks and trays
