The Bovie Bantam PRO, A952 is a high frequency electrocautery with a cutting ability which is a high frequency electrocautery. In some ways, it might be considered a split personality. Approximately one half of this unit is a high-frequency desiccator, an upgrade to our very popular Aaron 940 model. On the other end of the spectrum is a Bovie Electrocautery Generator, which provides you with 50 watts of cutting power and coagulation capabilities-enough power for most cutting procedures that are conducted in a doctor's office.

The Three Formats Of Operation

A 952 Generator from Bovie offers up to 50 watts of power in three different modes: Cut mode, Blended Cut mode, and Pinpoint Coagulation mode.

With the unit's compact front panel, all user controls and outputs are located, thereby simplifying the system. It uses easy-to-use, pre-programmed color-coded membrane pads.

Combined with a large, comfortable rotary dial to provide quick access to commonly used features, the ergonomic design of the handpiece allows easy selection of the most convenient operating modes while providing smooth power adjustment.

A High Level Of Procedure Confidence
Using the Bovie Bantam PRO, version A952, a high level of procedural confidence can be achieved. It is designed to fit comfortably in your hand and, when it is not in use, it stands in a holder which is specifically designed to make the unit as inconspicuous as possible when not in use. As long as the handpiece holder has been used properly, the instrument is safely isolated from the patient, the medical team, as well as the unit.

The A902 handpiece is compatible with all industry-standard 3/32" (0.24cm) disposable and reusable electrodes. Each handpiece may be autoclaved for greater operating efficiency and a reduction in cost.

In the electrosurgical generator mode, the unit uses Bovie NEM pad sensing technology to monitor the return electrode so that maximum protection is provided to the patient.

Taking advantage of our nonabsorbent ABS enclosures, as well as using our nifty liquid-resistant membrane switches that can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth, the Bovie Bantam PRO A952 post-procedure cleanup is simple (and quick).

The Desiccator
In contrast to other high frequency desiccators, the high frequency desiccator does not have to be connected to a return pad, as it is a ground referenced instrument. The Fulguration function enables you to fully energize your procedure with powers of up to 40 watts, whereas the Bipolar function has powers which exceed 40 watts. In all power settings, it is possible to adjust the power in increments of one tenth of a watt, from one to ten watts

You can change power in just one step, not four steps at a time
This particular Bovie Bantan PRO, A952 allows the physician to simply change the power setting by simply pressing the up and down buttons on the autoclavable handpiece or using the rotary power controls at the bottom of the handpiece. As a result, the sterile field is protected during sensitive procedures, thereby saving time.

Advantages Of the Foot Control
If you would like to use the foot control function on the A952, you simply need to plug in the optional foot switch. Since there is no separate handpiece to purchase, and access to the power and activation of the unit is still available through the handpiece in this mode.

As the A902 handpiece enables you to adjust the power output up and down as well as activate the unit even when it is on the foot control, you can control how much power is emitted. With the design of the two-pin plug, no more dangling leads.

For you and your patient, digital error detection means a level of security you have never experienced before. With the Bovie Bantam PRO, A952 continuously monitoring every aspect of the unit, you will know where everything stands at all times. The machine immediately disables its output when it detects an error and displays the error code on its display as soon as the error occurs.
